Last chance to buy early bird tickets for remaining categories

Race Promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd announced today that the sale of the remaining early bird tickets will be discontinued as of midnight, 31 July 2009. All tickets will then revert to regular prices from 1 August 2009.

Since the first of 13 categories of early bird tickets were sold out on 22 April, ticket sale has been progressing steadily. Only the Padang, Pit, Stamford, Turn 1 and Turn 3 Grandstands are still offering early bird pricing with discounts of between 11 to 20%.

“Although these grandstands had recently exhausted their allocation of early bird tickets we decided to keep these remaining areas open and have one collective cut off date on July 31. As these prices offer significant savings fans will enjoy a few more days to take advantage of these offers,” said Michael Roche, Executive Director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd.

Preparations or the 2009 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX is well underway with the construction at the Pit Entry and Pit Exit complete, and about 60% of the installation of lighting structures complete. Installation of concrete barriers and fencing has recently commenced since 13 July beginning from the Pit Straight.
